I want to creat a texture for a nurbs surface, but how do i get the graph screen shot or anything that i can use to take to photo shop and cook up some dinner?

Any help would be fine, i have some plans and some stuff im creating new.

Thanks to all.

I think what you are lookign for is a way to see what details lineup to where on the surfaces and the best way to do this is to project a reference map onto the surface and then use convert solid to get a map of where the projected reference texture hits the surface. A typical refrenece map might be a checkerboard with different colors in four quadrants.

If you convert your NURBs object to poly it converts the UVs over too (and you can export them normally). Then undo the convert.

I think gmask's method would be better texturing... I never really liked texturing NURBs (or found a decent method of doing it)

yeah, I looked at the UV Texture Editor (where you can take a snapshot of the UV layout) and didn't see anything about NURBS. You may need convert to Poly or SubD to get a paintable texture map. I'd be curious to see if this was the case...

You can paint on a nurbs surface but you cannot edit the UV layout on nurb slike you can with Polys or Subd's
