Carlos Baena is still one of my favourite animators of all time. Ever since I saw his "Toga Party" animation on his site I was hooked.:D

Very cool. Thanks for the interview. I love reading stuff like that.
...but it does always make me a little depressed it's not me. <sigh> lol
Some day though.
Great interview, but is it just me or is this the old Victor Navone inter view with Carlos Baena mixed in? I swear there is another interview between Tee-toe and Victor that is exactly the same.
I'd never heard of Carlos Baena, but his stuff looks really cool!
CGNetworks is a cool site!

Anyone know how big of an income these guys bring in? They must be making quite a bit of money...
I'd just be so stoked to work there, I wouldn't care that much. Never thought to ask that question either. My guess would be 50-60k a year  ?

Bah... money... who cares? If it's getting you through and you're enjoying yourself, that's all that matters. Enjoying yourself and getting paid craploads is better though, I guess.:D

Cool interview, a very entertaining and rather enlightening read
I love what Navone said "I'm never totally satisfied with a shot. Art is never finished, only abandoned."

tito: Great job on the interview. It was an awesome read. I checked out Victor's website, and after reading this interview and his "about" page, it's been very inspirational to keep one's head up and not give up.

Thanks for the great interview Tito. Very inspiring indeed. These guys are totally awesome. Side note; Victor will be on a panel of animators tomorrow at Comic Con. Should be very interesting and insightful. These guys could be part of the next 9 old men.. err, young ... you know what I mean. hehe.

Two fantastic animators and an inspiring interview(nice one Tito).
Haven't animated for ages but i'm now inspired to take it up again. Nice to hear about the rejection letters. Got my first one from a company a couple of weeks ago and got cheesed off. Don't feel so bad though now. Might even apply again when i do some more work.
I'd work at Pixar for a packet of Bicuits. Hell, i'd do it for free.
Do they need a new tea-boy perhaps?
