View Full Version : [help]How to get a reality skin texture?(with some screen captures)

I use 3ds max and I had heard some tips about skin texture.Someone sai that it should use 3S and the key is SELF-ILLUMINATION,GLOSSINES and SPECULAR LEVEL..I use 3s texture of finalrender to try but the effect is terrible..
THE following are my terrible screen capture..without
difusse map and bump map because i want to see the effect of SELF-ILLUMINATION and 3s..
Sorry for my poor English,but is there anyone can teach me how to create a reality skin texture?It's my thread here..THANKS VERY MUCH.

You've messed up your image links - HTML coding doesn't work on these forums...

Yeah same link errors here.

Doesn't FinalRender come with some example files for SSS? Or a forum?

Sorry i made some problem with the ablum type,it's OK now.
I had see the example files,but when using for skin it looks more
red than I imaged.I'd like to make the skin like this:( CG from game)

Thats just bright lights pointed right at here face. Try some different light effects you should come up with what you want hope this helps.

Perhaps Stahlberg's lighting tutorial might help you. It's written for Maya, but the concepts can be adapted to other programs...

Not the same result as the game character you've shown, but can be adapted.
