First WIP test wanted to see what kind of bubbles I could make with particles. http://vimeo.com/4566195
update: just a little longer animation of the effect.
I will be using this for part of the splash when it hits the lighthouse.

Well I got it done but its still uploading to Vimeo and youtube so I won't get it in on time.
Sucks but oh well, I will still post my final here. Every one else did a great job.
Well I'm not to happy with the final out come, but I told myself that I would finally complete an FXwar challenge. But I wait to the last minute to finish it and ran out of time on the upload. I wish I had more time to add all the detail that was left out and needed.

As voting thread isn't announced yet.. I guess you can still post your entry as you got it done.

Well that wouldn't be fair to all of you that got it in on time. Just let me know what you think and what needs to be fixed.
It seems that Vimeo is have a very busy day. The final video is still not up since uploading it last night. So I will upload another copy to youtube and add it as a mirror.

I don't beleave that anyone would complain if you post your final entry. :)
Post it man. After all, you've uploaded your file at vimeo 13 hours a go, so you're in. ;)
Btw, nice animation, though you should should make it more slower, and waves lot smaller. I like the idea of importing rigid body dynamics into this shoot, but you should have more pieces of broken.
I like that background, and it seems that we are both (me and you) were trying to produce same type of the day. It's not sunset... but something before sunset, something that photographers calls "golden Hour", that is happening right before sunset when you can see everywhere deep golden yellow tone. Very beautifull.
Keep it up.
