View Full Version : Psd Texture map showing on model, help please!
hutena 05-03-2009, 08:56 PM I know that this could be a stupid question, but I remodeled my characters legs after I had already texture mapped it. This leaves me with part of one leg showing the whole PSD map on the faces of the characters new mesh. How do u fix this easily?. I am sitting here miserable and sick with bronchitis trying to finish things for my finals. I might not make it and fix and finish these things this semester. please help!
Thank u

Sounds like you will have to redo the UV's (at least on the parts that are screwing up). If it's any consolation at least you already have your texture map done so you can get visual feedback on the model as you are tweaking the UVs.
If using maya you can always copy uvs from a copy of the old to the new mesh, although I havent tried this myself with meshes of differing polycounts and can't quite get my head around how that would work but in anycase heres a link

Thank u Cameo. I guess I knew what I probably had to do but due to feeling miserable I have sat staring at the character with my head on the desk dreading it right now. Thank you for your kind push in the right direction. I will fix this. Thank god it is only a small part of the leg.
Take care
