My name is Ryan Woo; I do recruiting for the gaming industry here at Digital Artist Management. We have done a lot of good work for countless artists throughout the video game industry, and we pride ourselves on our unique process. At the moment I am looking for a very high-level character modeler for a studio that demands nothing but the best. Also (for the same studio, and another) I was looking for a top-of-the-line animator, who has a very good sense of weight for their characters. Please reply to ryan@digitalartistmanagement.com. Below is the job description for the modeler spot. Thanks!!

TECHNICAL CHARACTER MODELER / RIGGER

Responsible for the creation of high-res character models and custom skeletal setup for human and non-human creatures alike. Applicant must demonstrate a thorough understanding of various modeling techniques including polygons, NURBS, and sub-division surfaces, as well as knowledge of advanced character rigging systems and IK. Responsibilities include working directly with animation team to define and create custom solutions as requirements dictate, ability to work within the confines of real-time engine constraints and programming demands, identifying inefficiencies in the production process and formulating resolutions, and the utilization and understanding of custom toolsets. Knowledge of human anatomy and comprehension of MEL scripting and Maya preferred. Experience with creating realistic characters for films is also a plus.
