View Full Version : nonuniform transparency
a_banknote 05-02-2009, 09:48 PM I want to animate a character such that her legs are increasing more transparent as it gets to the feet. My idea is to do connect the transparency channel of the shader to the lower z coordinate of the point being shaded, but don't really know how to it. Could anybody give me some pointers, or maybe better way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hey
Just create a UV layout for you character and use a texture for the transparency channel. You can also use a simple ramp node instead.
