Great job, loved it. The staring/timelapse was ingenious, I wished it lasted longer rather than splitting the time with the other poses, but still excellent!

hahaha! i loved this short film! i really enjoyed the character and how stylized he was. The story line was fun to! the fact that he loves elvis was just a cherry on top of an already great character. well done. :thumbsup:

Crayfish - Yeah, at Ringling we are in charge of everything in the film process. So I did everything from concept design to rigging, animation, lighting ets..

I put a lot of effort in his facial rig. A hybrid of joints system and blend shapes to get as many subtitles I can in the facial expressions.

AnimatorJay - was a pleasure to be your classmate :)

Great work for only one guy! In my school we did the same, everything done by ourselves but we were 4 guys for 1 short film (8 minutes).
I agree with you for the facial rig, it's really important to work hard on it.
I will do a post on the forum soon about the facial rig I did on my film last year.

Nice one, It was great to see what you sent me along the way come to life.
Amazing work, your film is fu$#@ 2:47 minutes! you are insane! I like the nice humour you have there.

I can nit pick but that would be lame. You created a complete 'product' and there is no reason to judge something that's complete.

Lipuster - Sound is the only thing I didn't do in the short :) I had a really awesome composer who did the score - Erez Koskas. And the sound design is by Ido Levran.

Etmed - Sure, here are some concept stuff I did at school during my pre-production semester. Mostly I was trying to get the atmosphere I was going for and character design initial sketch.

mim-Armand - Yeah, I know exactly how that feels... not saying its an autobiography.. :) but I know how frustrating slow connection can be. I thought it would be funny to make a short on that and people seem to relate to the situation. The pose was just for fun. Trying to capture his character, and his passion for 'the King'.

bjAdamH - That's so good to hear. It's my favorite part, cause I really wanted an opportunity to act through just a hand. I thought that would be a nice way of telling who this guy is, before showing him to the audience. Glad you digged it.

I really wanted to push the facial expressions on this short, and have full control over subtle facial expression. So I build a face rig setup that I found very useful and wanted to share. Its a very visual UI, and very intuitive. It is a hybrid of joints and blend shapes all driven by the curves.
