Eyes look almost too wet. Very nice work though. You should put an example of some real eyes next to it for us to compare.

The eyes are great! However...

They look fantastic, but not like human eyes, which I'm not sure if that is what you're going for or not.

The pupils are what take it away from human eyes, since they seem to me metallic? A chrome texture? They look beautiful, but I only interpret them as some sort of bio-mechanical eyes? I could be way off, but thats how I"m seeing them.

At any rate, as an image they look beautiful, as something realistic... still really ncie!

She/he looks like they've been crying. I say this because of the wetness on the skin surrounding the eyes.

What you've achieved with the eyes though, you somewhat overpower with the patterning of the material texture, and the skin texture. You've obviously spent most of your time on the eyes, and it really pays off. I would go back into the skin and cloth materials to bring them to the level of craftsmanship you've achieved with the eyes. You'll really have a killer image then.

Nice stuff!

i like the eyes a lot. almost looks like some hdri on them...

only crit is on the skin, it looks a little strange.. almost like clay.

is it a single layered material only?

it looks fine from a distane tho

Wow I love the eyes. Yes they may not be human but they look beautiful. As far as the skin goes, I think that at this close range it should be looking somewhat porous. But seeing as how this is no normal human then I can't say that the skin isn't intentional. Truely the skin may be fine the way it is.

The thing I find most annoying is that the reflections all come to a point in the middle of the eye, real eyes don't do that. There are two things I can think of that might cause this look, the way the texture was applied ie. UV's or the environment map is a shot from the ground looking straight up at some skyscrapers or something. Also if you try applying a 3 point lighting setup it might help with some of the burned out areas you have in the first image. Of course everything is subjective and since she has sort of desert wear headgear going on maby you want the burned out areas.

I love the detail in the eyes color map, I have been trying to get something like that for a long time. If it is painted perhaps you could post a tut, or if it is a photo maby you could post it?

"maybe but my objective is not " real eyes" but more a research

Mission accomplished!

My only comments:
- the cloth around her head and face looks paper thin
- the skin texture is maybe a little too rough

And thats it!
Excellent work!

Glad I could help. That looks a lot better imho, makeing the freckles stand out more was a good choice, you could barly make them out in the first image. Some tweeking to your bump map will help to, at least if you are going to be doing coloseups.
I am still amazed by the detail in the eye color map, the little red veigns in the eyes are perfect, just the right amount and in just the right position.
