select problem

It happened to me several times, but don´t know why.

I have seen it too and I think its a problem with the layers. So try adding the shapenode to the same layer and reselect, and it should do the trick. At least it has for me .. sometimes .. :)

Found the problem... when you select an object in Maya, it first select the shape node than moves up in hierarchy to reach the transform node above it. In my case only the transform node was on a templated layer so I can see the object in the viewport but it fails to select the transform node. I deleted this layer and everthing went back to normal.

Yey, then we now know that it´s the layers that does the mess .. :)
