View Full Version : Smooth model in a low res cage

Great things you can find in Wings3d just by having some frustrating minutes by the computer.

If you have a low res model and want to model it out with a smooth preview, do like this:

Press Shift + Tab and click the button in the upper left corner and you will get the same as illustrated. There after just hit E, F or V to modify your model.

Its called proxy mode. you can enter it from the menus. Play around with your wire frame, and shading options for some nice stuff too. Unfortunately its not in real time.
Also the transparency of the smoothed mesh can be edited in the preferences section, it even handles images so you can look through at a rotoscope (it might not always work, i usually have to freeze the mirror, chop off half and remake it when i add an image.)
