and a whop of pricing to go with it....

If your product is under Standard or Premium maintenance, you will receive your upgrade to Vue 7.5 at no charge. If you like, you can even download a pre-release version of Vue 7.5 immediately (your download instructions are sent in a separate e-mail). Also, if you purchase Vue 7 xStream or Infinite during the month preceding release of Vue 7.5, you will receive the upgrade to Vue 7.5 when it is released, at no cost.

Vue 7.5 xStream will retail for $1,495, with upgrades from Vue 7 xStream available for $495. Vue 7.5 Infinite will retail for $895, with upgrades from Vue 7 Infinite available for $295. Other upgrade paths from Vue 6 Infinite and Vue 6 xStream will be available at the time of release.

oh the joys of owning premium software...

heh so if you weren't on "premium maintenance" you have to pay to upgrade from the beta that was 7.0?

nice, I guess?

And the robbery begin. I see they don't say how much it will be to upgrade from vue 6. so does that mean one can just upgrade to 7 even when 7.5 comes out.

apparently,

v7.4 will be free to current v7 users, and contains some of the 7.5 version, but what i do not know

the upgrade price from v7 to 8 will be the same as v7.5 to 8, so not much sense in getting the paid update to v7.5 unless you really need the extras included in 7.5, whatever they are..

I'll pass on this upgrade. For the upgrade price you can buy Terragen 2 and get allot better support and help on the forums than you would from E-on.
I just bought the TG2+Xfrog collection and I'm impressed by its capacity and general ease of use compared to Vue. The planet effect in TG2 is great - seems Vue has added that feature now. But like most things Vue, there are probably some nasty details that need fixing to get there.

No mention of they are going to release a 7.5 version of Complete or Pro Studio. I wonder how many of the new features will filter down to Complete?
