Hi Everyone!

So I've been experimenting with the Blender to EIAS workflow and I hit a snag concerning camera movement(i say this because I don't know if this is limited to just cameras or all objects).

When I animate a camera in Blender (2.48a) export as FBX and then Import into EIAS 7.0.1, everything works as expected unless there is a camera roll past 90 degrees. That doesn't seem to translate well and I can't figure out why. all the moves after the roll will be correct but the camera obviously won't be pointed in the right direction.

I tried exporting with and without the 90 degree rotations. neither worked....I've tried attaching a null to the imported camera and then attaching a camera to that and it still doesn't work...

any thoughts?

thanks...

Try the other way around. Parent the Blender camera to a Null and have the rotation on the Null object. When you import into EIAS also parent the camera to the null.

Some cameras have up vectors, and don't like to be inverted. Nulls don't care. If the camera thinks it's always upright, it should work okay. I think.

Hope this helps.
