hey guys, haven't posted on this forum in a while, but now I've got some time, and hey, I've lurked around long enough.

I'm planning on using what I've been learning lately about human facial topology (GREAT threads in here, btw) to try and apply that knowledge to other forms of creatures, such as the cute and cuddly koala! I love 'em, I just wanna hug 'em.

So here's a screenshot of what I've got going so far. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet really, maybe just a koala standing upright with a cigarette and a martini :)

this is mainly a study of topology on a non-human face, and I want to make it pretty realistic... I plan on giving it fur and using morph targets for the facial animation, probably CS4 for the rest of the body. what do you guys think? I don't have access to any diagrams of real koala musculature, but it couldn't be THAT different from human musculature, aside from the size of each muscle...? Anyone have any additional knowledge in this area that could help me out as I move further along?

btw: using max 5.1

They are not cuddly. They scratch. They snore like a 2 stroke motor. They have the stinkiest poop you ever smelt.

Edit: I just looked and cant fins anything interesting there.

Might find some reference in there.

Was wondering why your Koala looks more like a Wombat, then if hit me - yours ain't go no ears, hehe, after all, a Koala is just a wombat with big fluffy ears, hehe. (poke at Aussies, just cause we won the last tri-nations match haha) JK, LOL. I'd like to see one in a tux sipping a martini, holding a gicar, resting against a gum tree, that would be wicked. :)
