Yeah I kinda just started with a bird-like creature and went with it. I eventually started to try crossing an eagle with a great horned owl, so yeah the beak is a little too short for an eagle's. they arent really horns but more like tufts of feathers, I know its not really clear at this point. Any suggestions? Should I take the horns in a different direction, make it kind of like a dragon-ish bird with solid horns? or keep pushing the idea of feathers?

Thanks for the comment, this forum used to be so active I wish there were more people willing to put up crits.

Here are some images illustrating my developmental process:

i like all of those ideas ^_^ are the new pics yuve posted were your previouse developing process :D ?

well about those horns i had this feeling those arent horns but didnt want to offend or anything if i was saying those are its ears or feathers and those were actually the horns of it (>o^_^o<)
well i think hornd will make it look quite unique in compared to a regular bird with some different feather structure then the regular birds but thats up to you :D
ive found some horn pics ,if you dont mind me for posting these' that i think will look cool on your bird

ive deliberetly posted it in links form just incase you already have a vision of your horns so i wouldnt want to interfear with that vision you might have ^_^
btw are you planning on making a whole bird like with legs body wings etc or just a type of pic like you posted in here :D?

and well yeah this forum usually is active but it takes time for ppl to respond sometimes few days or so and cuz of the dw4 contest i think ppl are kinda busy so they dont have time to comment ~_~
looking forward for updates

Thanks for those images, i dont know when ill get back to this because i just got my tablet and im trying to do as much new work as I can before i start my full time job. I was thinking about doing a new action shot with the bird attacking something. Ill try to update this soon.
