View Full Version : Layout and content check
My new site's up for testing right now - if anybody has a second, would be willing to take a look and post some comments/crits, I'd appreciate it greatly. Everything works except the contact link - I'll be taking care of that tomorrow. Anyway, enough talk - http://www.maxxwv.com/testing
Thanks in advance guys and gals!

The first interaction issue I see is that the buttons offer no user feedback when rolled over, or when clicked. It is your choice, but generally it is considered good design sense to offer a user interactive feedback so they know what they are clicking on and if their click was successful.
"I got a bit anal on this project" I would scrap that.... just not professional enough.
heh... welll theres a lot more I could say, but its time for me to get sleep (sa I've just realized). zzzzzzzz...................................
p.s. You have some great work in your portfolio. The attention to detail is very good. I don't however personally like the design style of the website. It looks like you were going for an elegant and different style, but some of the typography seems a little strong and unbalanced. That could just be my own personal fear of script fonts... lol. What to do with script fonts, my oh my.
I hope that helped in some way...
Helped very much, yes - thanks for taking the time. I've got to go over all the copy with a fine tooth comb, as I did most of it after midnight. I keep finding very odd spelling mistakes... Anyway, good point about the rollover feedback - I'll fix that and take a look at the typographic balance. And glad you like the portfolio - thanks!
Off to work some more...
