:p Here's a little quick project I did envolving a little surprise in the end..:D..I hope everyone likes it! It took me about 3 hours to model and rig the character, and for cutting up the Alien scene and adding new sounds, about 9 hours or so. It was a school project, so of course I threw together it really quick. (just in time for grades!) :)

I'm going to be honest with you - I didn't like it at all, and I didn't think it was all that funny either. It’s all about timing, creativity, and what you're trying to say or show.

"so of course I threw together really quick."
Never do this. Try to put as much effort and time as you can into your projects. You should also try to think about how the audience will react to every shot in your presentation. It is also about being specific.

Actually, you would had to have seen "Invader Zim" (a cartoon show that was on nick a little while back). The concept of that show was of an alien and a robot, and when the robot was out in public he dressed up in this really bad dog suit. The little character in the scene was actually that little dog. I guess some people just never were lucky enough to see that cartoon. I appreciate your input. It allows me to clear things up with other viewers.:surprised

And about throwing it together really quick. It was for a school project. I had done about 4 other ones that were unsuccessful due to the fact that my whole hard drive was fried because of a virus. So, I had to make a project the night before that had all the requirements for school. Im not going to apologize to you or anyone else for not likeing it because I understand that people never saw that cartoon. My lab instructors did and since they actually got the joke, I ended up with a pretty good grade on it.

I'm actually a little pissed off that I had download 125 megs for that. This is a forum for professionals those who wish to learn from them.

 As far as I knew I did have another link for a smaller file. Sorry you didn't check out what options were open to you before just downloading. So, as far as you being "pissed" thats your own fault for choosing to download the larger file when I did offer a smaller file that is practically the same quality. In the end, you are just looking for someone to blame for your stupidity. Grow up.

That was hilarious! I love Zim! Just cause it wasn't made by some 22 year old independent film director / producer...Mr. Cinematography, doesn't mean you have to bash it. Quite a free thinker you are, buddy! Looks like you know how to make a chair, table and plate...then duplicate. I was also smart enough to download the smaller file. Anyway...I'm tired of talking about you. I thought it was funny. I'm sure if she wanted to make something spectacular she could have...I talked to her and that was just something that she did one night for fun 'cause she was bored. Well, here's something I'm working on, LifelnDeath...I'm sure you'll like it. You have taste. This is my first high-res poly character. I'll take into account what you or anybody else have to say........just not Cinematography. Obviously he doesn't know how to give constructive advice.

hey JAFixxer, post your stuff on your own post, i hate when people do that. I didnt really care for the animation, as a joke i guess it could be funny if i had seen the show, but as animation, it didnt have any of the principles that make animation the art form that it is, just because you threw in a three second shot of a character waving doesn't make it animation. I would re-post this as: alien movie joke.

You guys need to lighten up a bit...jeez. Me and LifelnDeath are in this for the art as much as anyone else. And just 'cause we're not "professionals" doesn't mean that we can't share what we're doing with everyone here. She was just hoping to give people a little laugh, and it's too bad that you get bent out of shape because you felt that it's a waste of your time watching it and that it's not "animation."
