View Full Version : Tomahawk Bike
Rchitekt 07-14-2003, 06:39 PM This is my first post here, so I thought I would attach my latest hybrid vehicle. It's basically a take off from the new Dodge Tomahawk, with some new gadgets and a paint job. It was modeled in Max and rendered in Brazil. No HDRI, one light source, rendering time around 10 hrs. IT's high, I know, but I didn't really know what I was doing at the time. All crits welcomed.

I would really like any criticism about my vehicle, if anyone cares to make a post. Thanks!

Ok, first the bar going back from beneath the handle needs more divisions virticaly.
fron of the body, at the bottom looks like a spline (you use splines) mess, as there is a lip in the middle, and none further up.
finally the tyre texture could do with work.
(hardly 3 wheels!)

how are you supposed to ride that? theres no place for the feet. thats the main thing that bugs me. it looks like the rider is in a steep forward lean position which would place his feet at the back tire and his calves and ankles would get crushed from the rocket engines

Thanks for all the crits.
Ayanami- I see what you mean about the front of the bike. The bike frame was originally patch modeled and converted to Editable Poly. I'll see if I can straighten it out.
TheWraith- The project was originally a school project where we had to combine 2 industrial objects to make a new hybrid. I choose a bike and a jet. But, needless to say, the design isn't flawless. I was thinking about rendering it with an environment and without the jet engines... Just a bike on a street or something. I'll try to post something when I get a chance.
