Hi Matellis & qstom,
Hmmm... unfortunately, my laptop is not calibrated! :( It's appearing ok in my laptop though; I will calibrate my laptop as soon as possible!

hi kaustav,
i have a calibrated screen here and i can see what's going on, however, this definitely needs a light source somewhere if you want to present it as a stand-alone matte. It's extremely dark and hence lacks depth. There's black in the foreground, a fair amount of detail in the midground and nothing but black in the holes suggesting that this leads into the background.
the ground indicates that there's a really subtle light coming from the left so if i were you I would emphasize this a bit more and furthermore match the level of detail and sharpness of your various elements. The ground is crisp and has quite some detail, whereas the walls look a bit mushy.
keep at it mate!

Hey Rich, :)
I guess, you saw this matte on the CGI/VFX Reel of TH4G movie! I don't have a calibrated laptop, so am really sorry, if you aren't able to see this matte properly and is appearing dark! :( It was an awesome learning experience for me, while working on TH4G, which included digital matte-painters like Maciej Kuciara & Tiberius Viris, whom I regard as my mentors! :) I loved the movie very very much & would recommend everyone to watch this awesome fan-film, directed by Chris Bouchard here (http://thehuntforgollum.s3.amazonaws.com/player_film-hd.htm)!

In my eyes the image is still way way way to dark.
