View Full Version : Problem reimporting base mesh for texture painting.

I'm using this tutorial:

After I turned the UVs off and painted the mesh within Zbrush, I went back to subdivision 1, turned the UVs back on and tried re-importing the base mesh (to restore the UVs to what they were).

2 things happen here:
Either the mesh ends up all jumbled and broken with verts and faces everwhere
or
Zbrush crashes.

The only way I've been able to work around this is clicking AUV tiles after re-enabling UVs, then clicking color to texture.
-But for this project, I need the UVs that were made by me.

HELP!

Your point order has changed. You are going to need to take your current ztool at its lowest sub level, and you old obj with the correct uv's, into another application like XSI and use Gator to transfer the correct uv's to the ztool obj, then import that back into Zbrush.
