Great work so far, just keep working on it, no negative comments for now. By the way that guy in your avatar looks so nice, is that your work? If it is where can i see more of him.
Keep rocking, :buttrock:

After summer holidays... Itīs time to work on her a little.
I finally modified the face shape mainly in the eyes area in order to be closer to the original concepts. I made some test with make up but itsnīt working yet, it is? I think Iīm going to draw some tattoos on her body.

The problem is with my free site. There must be too people linking to there so I canīt do nothing. Try this: click on image icon with the right button, go to 'properties' and copy/paste the URL to a new Explorer windowīs address bar... Sorry anyway.
pOlymOrph:
Thanks again. But what you are seing around the eyes isnīt tattoos, itīs only make up. The colour is due to the plant ingredients of the pigment. The tattoos for the body will be different. Anyway, they arenīt working, but I think it has to do with the design.... I would thank female opinions, hehehe.

I mean how can someone walk into this thread and not be amazed at the talent. There is little thats wrong with this model and the renders even temp are great to.
Now for a minor crit (which is probrably out of line) would be to say she does look very plastic like a doll toy or something.Maybe a few wrinkles here and there like her inside elbows, under the arms but like I say I dont know what style you are heading for.Maybe you want her to look that way.Just an idea.
Another would be her....shorts...or whatever women call those things she is wearing...Um...they should cut into to her skin alittle..just a little mind you just to show her as being soft...but again I dont know the style you are going for as yet.
But stunning I must say and sorry if I sound like a fan boy....lol

Oooooh, thank you very much for your comments, wgreenlee1!!!
I donīt think youīre a fan boy, but you are so kind... thanks.
About the look... you say that she (Eve, for friends...) is like a doll, and I agree. I donīt want this model to be realistic, but more in the style of Fiona (Shrek), with manga/anime influences.
About the "loincloth" you are right again. As you can see I did it with the bra, but I thought that skin deformation in the pelvis-hips area would bring problems in that point. Probably I will try...
PD: Sorry for the delay, but I was on a trip this weekend.

I know I should work on this character with continuity, but there is always too many things to do in oneīs life ;->... Iīll try to be more regular till the end of this cutie.
These are two new renders of the progress:
http://shinchanpu.250free.com/images/Eve_body3b.JPG
(And the high res version, as usually) (http://shinchanpu.250free.com/images/Eve_body3big.jpg)

(Higher resolution, one more time!) (http://shinchanpu.250free.com/images/face_test3big.jpg)
Iīm waiting for crits and comments...
see ya as soon as possible... XD

She is a cutie! nice work, I like the latest tatoos and flesh tones much better!
WOw man! Really nice looking model here!
I love the style. It is very 'fiona'. If i were you, i would stop where you are on the modeling, and work more on the texture. One of the things that made shrek so 'amazing' and 'surreal' was there semi-realistic modeling, but realistic texturing. (well, thats the way that I see it...)
http://www.splashmovies.de/images/specials/shrek/fiona.jpg
Her makup reminds me very much of the ones that Kida more in Atlantis (although hers were an even brighter blue than you have in yours).
The only 'advice' i could think of to give you, is to create some sort of design asthetic to them. What I mean is pick an ancient culture, like the aztecs, and create a design asthetic around that. Using recognisable designs (those geometric suns for example) would give your character a sence of history, even if it is only registered subconciously.
I would also continue the makeup down her body aswell tho...
All in all a VERY nice image and model! Im subscribing 2 this thread!

tres joli travail, j'aime beaucoup l'expression du visage, quand au vetements, vas tu les laisser blancs? je pense qu'ils mériterait qq couleurs et matičre, bonne continuation!

just a fast question do you model the cloth or use a plug in of some sort?

Thank you for your comments and advices!!!
JaKaL: Thanks man! About the skin tones I must say that the texture base for the whole skin is the same from the beginning. The only thing you can see is different is due to the different lighting setup and colors (a bit orange to simulate a sunset).
Pyke: Realistic textures in the skin of Fiona? I donīt agree at all. What is realism or photo-realism? Obviusly something that seems as real as "the real thing" or a straight photograph. Talking about skin textures this means imperfections (spots, pimples, freckles, wrinkles, little veins...)so Fionaīs skin is semi-realistic. My character is even less realistic as concept and modeling, so I think textures must be non-realistic at all. (look at the hair, the eyes, the clothes... ) ABOUT TATTOOS & MAKE UP: Yes, absolutely yes !!! Very good advise.Iīm gonna draw new designs for tattoos slightly inspired in ancient cultures, but adapted to my project. Make up along the whole body? Iīm not sure... it would be too overloaded, wouldnīt it?
PsychoSilence: It seems that tattoos are far to be solved. But I prefer Pykeīs solution to yours. Using a public texture/model is the last thing Iīll ever do. Thank you anyway.
PolymOrph: Sorry, I donīt speak French... (only few words and phrases like "merci beaucoup"..."je t'aime"..."tres bien"...). Pardon, if I confused you. Could you translate into english?
MindShell: The clothes are just modeling. But Iīll use a cloth simulator tool for the loincloth for a possible animation.

Thank you very much for your comments....
And Iīd like to post something new before this week is over, but I havenīt had enough time to work on it so, there is a rendering test about the lighting and mood I would like to aproach in the final image. (I have the pose in my mind, but I need to model new scene props).;)

Hi again, boys...
This is the last designs of the tattoos for Eve. Iīm not 100% happy with them but... I need to leave that issue and going on with other phase. At least I can say that this tattoos fit better in the story behind this character, and Iīve been trying to follow Pykeīs advises all the time. Now Iīm working on the staging and posing for the final image. Iīve got the idea, but needs research and work .:wip:
See ya.
