I took a short break from the Mi'Lari (all that's left is to make his tounge and gear) to start and nearly finish a new model. :) She's based off a quickie sketch I made and has to be the coolest female character I've ever made in 3d. Of course, I've only made two so far with her included! Well, feel free to comment. I know her buttcheeks need a little work but I think once I convert the NURBs to polys, I'll take them into Maya PLE or XSI Experience to tweak and render. I may even take it into GMAX and see how it looks there.

Thanks for checking her out.

It's lookin' good so far... the only thing I see is that the torso looks a little odd. I like the back, but in the front I think that her crease down the abs is a bit too deep/defined, as is her ribcage line. I also think that the breasts are too high on the chest. Drop them down a bit and move the rib cage line down a little too.

Other than that I say it rocks! Keep up the good work man

Thanks, I'll try and soften that. I have tried to bring the breasts down yesterday but Icouldn't get it to look right. I'll try again...which means I have to redo the arm blends too. oh well.

it might be because they're too far apart. maybe? When you drop the breasts and the rib cage down move them a little closer together, and see how that works.

Also something else I just noticed: I think that the "line" describing the position of the ulna under the skin is a bit too prominent. It may just be the lighting, but it kinda looks like there's a 90 degree angle along the whole lower arm.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I'll try to fix what you've mentione.d The arms do have subtle changes underneath but the angle kind of hides this. Here's an earlier shot in the modeling process that shows the change in the lower part of the arm more. Thanks again!

Thanks TBK! Excellent question...I have no idea. :) I'm actually working on her clothes now (sketching stuff, I mean). I was thinking more tribal in terms of clothes....kind of 1950's Tarzan, ya know? Nothing too advanced looking on her besides her actual weapons. So far I haven't made a design I like. That may bring her up to a more modern medieval design.

sounds pretty cool. will you post the sketches also?

i instantly got this vision of a nice shiney armor plates mixed with some soft white fur like cloth to contrast the metal.
like one big metal schoulder plate.. and the fur cloth for covering up the 'female' area's :)
