Thats Awsome to hear, The Gnomon Workshop DVD's are fantastic!, ive only have a few of them, but from what i have learnt is amazing, the high quality of the lessons, and the extra bonus material is another high end feature included in the dvd's,
Anyone starting out in maya i would greatly urge to have a look at the gnomon workshop's dvd range, their helpfull, and since their dvd's u have the option to pause the lesson and come back at a later date,
Its also fantastic to hear about educational Pricing, the whole set of dvd's mite set you back a bit, but wiht the edu pricing, its sure to help saving that little extra to put towards something else...
Great DVD's and Content

This is awsome news...I've been waiting and waiting to see these come down in price for me in some way. I think Gnomon is gonna start selling a lot of these to people like me that could never get over the price. I'm excited about this.

Can someone define student? What proof will Gnomon need? A college enrolment form/card?
Can it be any student or a CG related student?

Not really. The only ones I've watched are skinning 1-4 and kinematics 1-4. Haven't had the time to watch the others cause of school, work, and...girlfriend. Btw, I'm attending Columbia College...not the best for comp. animation since I really haven't learned much there, mostly all self-taught. :)

Double major in computer science and computer graphics programming/development.
We have an animation program, but it isnt very mature yet.

Hey Array, how are the programs over there at DePaul? I was already considering continuing my schooling in grad school right after I get my BA. Ironically, I am planning on getting my MA in computer science/programming. My strategy is that this will give me an advantage when looking for a job in the CG industry. :) Only one more year and it's off to grad school. :surprised

I don't understan something. Won't Gnomon loose lot of money by everyone or lot of people getting there student friends/brothers/sisters/mothers/fathers etc to by the dvd for them? OR have Gnomon factored this into there calculation...

This are something Gnomon can't cortrol, and they knew it. On the other hand more people know Gnomon, they will become more famous, business more bigger. It would be nice to say "you can watch DVDs with friends....." I think if u are serious about u 3D life, you don't want more competitor, maybe you think I am selfish, I not going to share DVDs .

cgmlm- I know what you mean and I don't think being protective about your investment is selfish :-)
What I meant was friends who are not into 3d. Imagine you have a student friend who is doing law. Now he is not gonna compete with you is he?
