This is low-poly game model of Nissan Primera. Model has 602 polys including wheels and brake lights. It will be one of the cars of free-ware game similar to Grand Turismo 3. Homepage will be soon.

For a low poly model, I think it looks great.

Question:
Can Brazil do realtime rendering?

I am always so amazed how good lowpoly stuff can look sometimes. I just cannot get myself to do it. I always end up with 250K+ polies in a car.
Great work for such lowpoly

Me to. I usually get carried away when ever I try to do low-poly models. :shame:

Lol

I don`t know, If some engine can do Brazil r/s realtime. Yeah, It`s a game model, not game render, so It`s rendered in MAX, but it`s the same model, as for the game.

I will add wireframe/shaded picture soon.

Thanx for c&c

The only thing i see is that the windows look kinda funky...and the textures on the tires have a white "halo" areound the outter edges, other than that..its excellent

Now you're not the only one, so i'm not attacking you.

But i don't understand why people use these super rendering engines and lighting setups for supposed in game models.
If you wanna be true to the model, then render it true to how it will look in the game.
If you're (or people) saying that it won't look as good then, well... that's how it's gonna look in the game... so then maybe you needa fix something.

But the model does look good, and I would like to see it more realistically.

That's very nice. I wish I could do something like that. Any tutorials (A longshot but whatever :p)?

One thing I notice.. where the metal meets the windows on the side of the car, it looks nice because of the shadowing. But you dont have that same type of shadowing on other parts of the car that meet different windows.. like where the roof meets the front window. I think it would be good just to have a little shadow there.. just for contrast if nothing else. Maybe shadow isn't the best word to use.. just some darkening/burn tool.

That's just my opinion though..

Wow. I love the car. Any links/info on this game yu're doing the car for? If the car looks so good then the game must be awsome.

The game is in preparation, so I cannot show more than some renders from MAX. To Neil: I underestand you, but even Codemasters with its Colin Mc Rae uses brazil renders of in-game models, it looks better, and If you`re doing a game, first thing you need is to engange.

But asap there will be something from engine, I will show you. We are puting together a team, we`re looking for programmers mainly. Nowaday it`s a concept, and more info will be soon visible on www.racer.euweb.cz

here`s some more updates

Some info will be soon on www.racer.euweb.cz (http://www.racer.euweb.cz )

It should be some kind of racing simulator with tuning option, like Grand Turismo 3. It will contail about 90 cars, and some 10-15 cars, which cannot be played with (like trafic cars, police, ambulances....) I cannot say you more. Send some of your best works (low-poly) and maybe you can work with us.
