Here are some finished shots from my upcoming film I've been working on for a few years now, 'The Chronicles of Nerm. For the past several years, I've been creating the sets (six) and characters (twelve) for the film, and after getting all of my audio recorded, I've been animating the ten minute film! Obviously this is not the finished film, I have probably a year and a half left on this film before it is finished. But these are finished shots from the film. This is a one-person project.

I feel incredibly lucky to have the amazing voice cast that signed onto my film, it's been an absolute dream come true:

Nerm: Alex Mentzel - You can see Alex in 'Feast of Love' where he plays Greg Kinnear's nephew as well as in many advertisements and plays.

Targ: Marc Graue - Marc owns a famous recording studio in LA. You can see him on VH1s 'Free Radio' and his voice in cartoons and games like World of Warcraft.

Ky: Zoe Bell - Famed stuntwoman-turned actor Zoe Bell played a lead in Quinten Tarantino's 'Death Proof' (Grindhouse) and ABCs Lost.

The Guard: Shelly Lipkin - Shelly has been on numerous TV shows and films over the years, including Laverne and Shirley, Lois and Clark and The Fugitive.

Keena: Mylisha Hood - This is Mylisha's first acting work, and she did a fantastic job!

Wonderful animation and rendering!
I saw your first demo about that project long time ago and was already promising.
Now is incredible.

Congratulation. you really rock.

Did you really made it all alone? Is impressive!

Bravissimo! :)

Thank you very much. And yes, this is really a solo film. Other than the voice acting, I've done every other aspect of the film by myself.

Well everytime I see an update on this project I'm more and more blown away. Every aspect is so well done. So often I see projects like this, and everything look beautiful but the animation is weak. That definitely isn't the case here. Incredible work.

I love your work, such an inspiration!

I don't know why but when i look at Nerm I think he must be powered by an Intel Atom!

Is this a "Film or a Short Film?" not that the latter is any less of an accomplishment, its just it says "Film!"

It will be about 10 minutes long. Thanks for the comments everyone.

This looks fantastic man.

I'm really diggin' your design of Targ - Tres' cool. I hope you don't let time get the better of you and rush where you shouldn't. Take the time to make the animation as good as you can bud, because even great looking shots can fall apart if the movement isn't all too grand.

I'm very keen to see this when it's finished man, top stuff, and well done considering it's just you working on it!

Peace.

How many shots are done or how many total in the film? I have probably 50+ complete, and the entire animation is probably 200-300 or so (I havent storyboarded everything yet, so I'm roughly guessing).

I'm definetely doing my best to keep the level of quality up. I've been pushing the animation more and more recently, so hopefully I keep learning and keep progressing on making good looking shots!

Thanks for the comments everyone!
