hi,

last jear I worked for an company that made her own 3D-engiene ...to build interactive, online 3d worlds....there is an snapshot (nearly all charakters are around 500polys and people from the firm =)...ecxept the woman has 1500polys..bsw. they is the avater of my girlfrind and the blue sweater man on the right side is my lowpoly-avater ...) the picture is an realtimesnapshot...
The content is made with Cinema4D ...

so,again =)...

after the internet-crash a bit and no one will invest in 3d-online-technologie...the company plan to made an game, so I start with a few illustrations...a bit Bryce, mostly Cinema and composed in Photoshop...

after the desingphase I start with the first charakters...this was one of the maincharaker (an alien) called THASHAK...he has around 2500 polys...made with Cinema (+Bodypaint)...

ok, coz the models have enought polys (i put it into an cinema-Hypernurbs( similar to subdivision) and made some testrenderings =)...

and after I play a bit around with thashak (give him bones and so on) i made an little pic to test CINEMA Radiosity...

The images are all very nice you should put some of these in XL galleries and such. One comment I would like to correct is that hypernurbs (why they used nurbs in the name is somewhat debated) is actually a catmull subdivision tool. Have you checked out supernurbs? they are they same sorta thing but with some wighting capabilities. I haven't used them and don't intend to but many others love them, and they are quite functional.

yes itīs right, but cinema-Hypernurbs are cool, I can do anything I want with them =)...and Yes I saw Supernurbs, but didnīt use it in real work till the moment...

(but will do that NOW! =)...) really I buy the plugin and forget to use it =)))....

Juat curios as to how you pronounce your name. My name is Kai (Danish) and sounds like sky but I was wondering if yours is the same or like in "O"kay?

Stunning modeling Kay, really full of character. The animation of the mouth needs a bit more work, but hey I know how hard that is.
