Good Day,

I am new to CGSociety and Vue 7.

I am wondering if someone could help me out. I have a jet fighter and would like to create a gaseous effect for the exhaust from the engines with very little black in it. I was thinking about using a cloud and modifying the cloud into the exhaust; but i am so new to Vue I would not know where to even start.

Could someone help me out?

Maybe you should use a glass material with some fractal bump to simulate the heat dissortions, the jet flames item at cornucupia 3d [its free :)], and some volumetric materials with some very loooow density and black color, that should simulate some particles in the jet exhaust. Couldnīt try it yet, http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/JOB_GG/jets3finished.jpg
here is a render, which I made with some infinite terrains, some planes from a friend [well, he said that I can use them], and those jet flames. But I donīt know how you wanīt the picture to look like.

Thank you; I will go out to Cornucupia 3d and try it out.

This is what I am working on.
Question; on your picture, did you use Godrays from Cornucupia 3d too?
Or how did to get the Godrays? I was wanting to do them too but failed.

First, that arenīt Gayrays o.O...they are called Godrays.
In the Sky,Fog and Haze corner of the Athmo editor, there is a button called godrays...click on it, and there will be godrays in your picture. You can also load a preset athmo from the Effects directory in the Athmo browser.
