Just chilling at the coast hehe.
That's pretty much the crappiest jpeg I could find on Google; as mentioned before wanted to try and match all the noise in the plate and the low resolution.
There's no 3D in there btw; just photo-manip and painting.

Wow, that's pretty amazing! I've never even looked in on the matte painting section on CG society before so I'm pretty ignorant of how it's all done. :) It looks like you cloned and reversed the left side outcropping and mirrored it over to the other side. What's amazing to me about that is that it took me quite a while to notice it because you painted over the original area. Very nice. Did you hand paint the stone railing or is that from another photo? Can you tell me a bit more about your process?

Also, you said, "No 3D". Is that how it's normally done these days? All I know about Matte painting is what I saw back in 70's and 80's and all of that was actual paint on glass. :D
