Lately I've been trying to be loose with my sketching and let my ideas flow, working with what I get to see where it takes me.
Mostly done with a pencil and a tad bit of Photoshop work. About 20 minutes.

A popular topic. I went fairly traditional with this one. My thought was a crime series based on the Descendents of Drizzt Do'Urden, if anyone is familiar with Forgotten Realms.

WOW! most people are making a villain and the sketches are very nice too. May be we should have 'topic of the week' and Roberto should introduce Villain 2 in the upcoming weeks. LOL.
I'm not smart enough to figure out as to why this topic is more attractive than others but if everyone is making a villain I assume that there must be a good reason for this LOL. Maybe people want to compete with the best or see their work posted together with the best? Or maybe after seeing so many nice sketches people feel like they should contribute too? Anyway, whatever the reason I felt like I should make a villain too before making any other sketches, LOL.
The problem is that I'm kind of rusty and lacking creative juices these days after being busy with something else. So I Googled for ideas and decided to make the joker as it appears to be one of the most famous villains and I apologize for not being able to come with some more original or interesting character. LOL
This is what I was able to do in about 50 min. I didn't try to make it resemble any actor or image but I was inspired by the widely open jaw, position, and expression of this mask http://www.halloweenexpress.com/joker-mask-p-7251.html
I didn't use direct reference during the painting except using the same colors for the cloths and background from this image http://beetstro.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/joker.jpg
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii127/okzorg/Joker_Villain_1h.jpg
Added details for about another 90 min. It turned out as one of those images that I hate more than like and as most of the time I struggled with the colors too, LOL.

Very nice Okzorg. I feel it needs a little red in the eye lids or eyes, just to seem a little strung out and crazy. Maybe a darker tongue too, to get it in the shadow, unless he's sticking it out. Nice job.

Thank you for your suggestions Glenn, you have a very good eye and it shows in your work. I added a little bit of red in the eyes and darkened slightly the tongue. I think it is better now:).
If you don't see the changes, press the refresh button on your internet browser to reload the image from the hosting site. It is a slight change but makes it much better.
Thanks:thumbsup:
