Hi!

One year ago this was my first try to invent a comic-style character. This image is just one frame out of a small animation. I also realised a little facial expression and lip-sync (better beak-sync).

Maybe you tell me what I could have made better. This character even does not have a name, do you know one?

I modelled that bird in 3ds max 4 on a P III 450 MHz with 512 MB RAM.

See you!

I think it's cute!
The wings could be remodeled a bit to blend in with the body more smoothly. See what I mean?
About the name, what about Twicky? or Kip :)

Good luck with it

Thank you Stungun for your hints. While modelling I did not pay very much attention to the wings' details. So later when I added the bones there was a problem with the transition of 'shoulders' and wings. Everytime when the wings moved back- or forwards they bended unnaturally. I would have to do a complete revision on that aspect.
The names you are suggesting sound good to me. Does anybody have other ideas? :)

Why not call it a dumb bird?...so you can make a comedy animation for it...because the face of the bird is already funny...all the best!
