Hi all,

this is a little seq for my upcoming reel.

The desired look will be...
http://3djart.de/fzt_001.html

The preview looks actual like this...
http://3djart.de/fzt_007.html

Whats still to do is...

fixing big spiders landing, letting the little spiders walk less straight.
All the fx, smoke puffs, dust puffs, sparkles, gunfirelines and so on.
Colorgrading and tuning the camera moves.

C&C are very welcome.

Looking pretty cool djart. For basic composition I think you have most of what you need. However, I would definitely recommend either reducing the amount of camera bob or a completely new angle. Right now it feels like I'm watching a miniature due to the angle and all of the "bob" makes it hard to see whats going on. I think a camera ground level that doesn't see the large spider jumping at the start, then quickly darts the view at it as it's flinging it's body into the air might be more dramatic.

Your to do list seems spot on regarding the animation. The little spiders feel entirely weightless at the moment. Need to get thier torso's into action. Also the legs appear to be sliding accross the ground instead of scurrying. Really try to over-emphasize the push off of each individual leg in their animation. They are already small, so getting some very clear extreme poses is pretty nessecary.

Finally, the large spider definitely needs a lot more anticipation. It's a very large body, and to get that entire mass flying through the air should take a massive wind-up. Also make sure you get the landing spacing right. In the current state the giant spider appears to hit an invisable wall and kind of rubber-band in place.

In any case, can't wait to see what you do with this!

Hi stuartb, thank you very much for youre comment.

i will try to fix what you mentioned.

Cant do much about the Cam angle because the clean plate is a still- image.

Ill try some Cameramapping, maybe there is a way to get another angle.

About the animations of that little spiders, its already fixed.
They have more movement of their body, also they dont walk to straight no more.
The second tank comes in with more speed now.
The big spider is still a problem because the landing but ill try to fix it.

Made some mistakes with big-spider-rig so keyframed almost everthing :-)

ok, lets get to work :-)

Best regards, djart73

I absolutely think that the camera angle change is certainly a good improvement but You can see how the tank is just sitting there before the animation starts.

I do think that the "bouncing" in and out of the camera zoom is lackluster and appears unrealistic.

Good progress though.
