Looks like the 3DBuzz crew released 9 free introductory video tutorials for Lightwave. Hopefully this is a sign of more to come. You can sign up and download them at 3dbuzz.com.

Now where's that link to the LW downloadable demo that was coming in the near future? :p

I'm sure they will
Just a question of when.
They always seem to start out with the basics of the basics.

I am going through Froggyplatt's vids (http://www.digiwonk.com/) right now, and getting a good bit out of them

That's a good tip, thanks for that. The digiwonk page still doesn't have any scrollbars at smaller resolutions! A bit tough to navigate, even at 1024 x 768.

i know i know...i'm lazy. actually i'm going to redesign the digiwonk page in a few days so i haven't gotten around to fixing anything up.

here's the direct link to the videos:

Character Rigging in LW 7.5 (http://conceptdesign.ath.cx/froggy/)

you can d/l the CharacterRiggingLW.zip file which will give you a nice little interface to launch all the videos, as well.

i may add a an additional lesson or two in the next couple of weeks:)
