View Full Version : inserting isoparms
hi, I noticed something strange while moving isoparms just before actually inserting them.
while moving one, it creates a trail of red lines, making it harder to see where mine is actually at.
anyone know how to solve this? I presume it has something to do with videosettings.
I have athlon XP 2200->2400, 1GB DDR, Geforce 4 4800 (like the 4400).
I placed the arrow on the pic to show you in what way I moved the isoparm.

Hi d24e!
I think that`s a video issue... At least in my machine the isoparms behave diferently from your's!
I have a older video board (Gforce2 GTS - Quaddro drivers)
but here none of this happens...
Have you tried to change/update your video drivers?
Or dig the maya isoparms settings?
I'll update my drivers tomorrow, since I'm donwloading now. (I kept older ones so I can play Doom 3 alpha:))
What do you mean by the isoparms settings? Where can I find that?
just updated drivers to 44.03 and no luck:(
hi, i have the same problem, im using a radeon 9700, i have tried whit dofferent drivers and no luck either....
it happens whit isoparms, Sculp surface tool , using paint FX brush.. etc etc

Glad you could solve your problem!
Now tell me d24e!
Do you have that doom3 beta that "liked" from id software?
It`s the one on the lab level?
Where you got that big "Bull like" monster that comes out from the pipes?
Awesome game huh?!
Can`t wait for the official release...! Have you played Duke Nuken 3D yet? i heard it`s pretty intence too...!

yeah, I love it! that game's gonna be so intense! probably even more scary than the marine capaign in Aliens vs Predator:)
Duke Nukem 3D, I have played that, it's great but don't you think it's a little old? especially compared to D3.
Or do you mean Duke Nukem forever?
I'm sure no one has played this so far, so I have no idea how it'll be.

Unfortunately the Geforce 4 is not qualified. AW reccomends using the Quadro for Maya 5..

Look at the link I posted.. I don't think that card is listed
The thing is i currentky have an ASUS GForce2 TI runing with the quadro pro drivers (Quadro 4.0.4.1) on my machine and everything is runing smooth and nice...!
I know it's an old and "patched" video card, but now i'm concerning this upgrade!!!
What to do???
Maybe i'll just do a "test drive" with this new card and see the results!
