Welcome to "Character Design 101" (http://tinyurl.com/cvf8zy) a comprehensive character video tutorial designed for beginners in the world of digital art. In this video tutorial our tutor Daniel Arnold-Mist will teach the basics of character design. From creating references to the final product using "Corel Painter".

Part 1: The Basics
In this section our tutor will discuss the basic tools and shortcuts used within the tutorial.

Part 2: References
In this section our tutor will prepare references for the creation of a character.

Part 3: Silhouettes
This section concentrates on the importance of silhouettes and how to create them.

Part 4 - 6: Developing the character
In these sections the character will be developed using lines and colour. A background element will also be added.

Part 7: Adding texture
In this section textures will be added to the character to add a more realistic feel to the final image

Part 8-9: Finishing the character
Final details and lighting will be added to the character to make a final piece.

Bonus: Quick Scetching
How to quickly create believable characters without reference.

would be good to have a smaple clip to look/listen to so people can evaluate the trainer and his style of delivery in the videos.

If you check the (Mood Painting 101) you can view the first part for free. All done by the same tutor. If you still feel like you need a sample of the Character tutorial I will make a quick sample.
