So I know that this is a classic problem for those who are new to animating in Vray. I believe the issue is caused by the irradiance map(s). Before I jump head first into learning about how to solve the issue, I would like to get some insight from others about what the symptoms mean.

My apologies for the annoying repeating gif

This means your irradiance and probably lightcache are calculated for each frame individually and have not high enough settings to get rid of splotchiness, which is caused by blurred photons. It's also doesn't mean solely increasing settings will get rid of these. Those are not meant for animation with moving objects. Set the modes of both irradiance and lightcache to incremental add to current map and fly-though, it won't calculate for each frame but will add photons to existing photon map, so photons won't move. It's usable only for fly-though animations without moving objects.

Alright! I haven't read it yet, but I scanned over it and that is exactly what I need. It seems pretty comprehensive as well. Looks like it will be an up all nighter! I will post my progress for those who care to see....
