Hi,

This ist my first post/thread in this Forum. I'm from Germany and therefore i ask you to be so kind to forgive the mistakes I surely make.
Before I start to present my Model I would like to say hello to the whole community of cgtalk :)

I decided to model a car, a Ferrari 360 Spider =). It ist my first model, that is, to my mind, so komplex and difficult. But I hope I was able to

manage it well. Up to now I've modeled the exterior and I've already start doing the interior. I've also applied some textures, but most of them

are not final (e.g. the tires or the lamps). I will improve this and I will add the rest of the textures after the model itself is complete.
I've worked on the 360 spider for 2 month, but i was interrupted by some breaks, so that I didn't work on it for some days.
I will be grateful, if you let me know, what you think about it. :)

greetings, b-o-d`chris

Update of the back:

http://www.runz.net/visualix/b-o-d/360spider/release/360spider-34-back.jpg

The proportions of the backlights were not right. I also added some details and I fixed other mistakes.

theres some pinching just behind the gas cap. I reccomend you spread out the surrounding verticies. Otherwise, a really fine job, congrats.

really nice... and I also really like your materials (except for the tire material, its way too light!) but wheres the interior?! lol, model that and it'll be a superb piece of work!
Cheers,

thanks to all of you for your really nice words =)

@ graffb: Yes, it's right. I must still spend some work on it.

@ callon: It have taken me about 2 month upto now and i'm not working on other projects. As i've already said this is my first model that is so complex and therefore i fully concentrate on it and dont work on any ohter projects at the moment.

@ Grimlin: Except the material of the lacquer (dont know if this is the right word, sounds a little bit strange ;) ) no material is final. It was just a test ... I still need to work on it

@ ThirdEye_01: Yes, I'm working with Cinema 4D :)

Nice flow and seaming, and fairly neat mesh. Not too bad mate, you have some real talent :D

Keep modelling !

Great job!

Frankly, I don't see any pinches in the renders. I can't believe you're putting so much attention to detail in this! It's great!

Awsome Model. Cant wait to see you tackle the engine modeling. Just one question. the 360 dosnt have duel Fuel caps. so is that just a mirror thing, and just havent gotton around to editing it.?

Keep that good work up!

Well, 10 months later, i come along with the next update. I spend much time in improving the model, but I also added some new objects. The next update wont need such a long time, i hope ;)

first off, great model, nice attention to details,

just a few things i noticed, the rear tires need to be moved a bit outwards, the breakdiscs need to be moved in wards, else there would be no room for the callipers,

the tires look wrong, theyre too round, how to explain,

shape wise, yours are like this (__) and they need to be more like this |__| not all squarish ofcourse but i think you get the idea

oh and great job on the bottom of the car man, love it,...

that's looking incredible:thumbsup:

i think adding some sort of reflection fall-off curve would be good (frensel effect), cuz right nwo the reflections seem a bit overpowering on the paint.

the tire is very nicely detailed, good work on that.
