Any tricks to get slow complex smoke? Reducing the time scale gives me a good speed, but really obliterates the detail/complexity. Same with velocity dampening.

its a matter of balancing all the parameters so that the gravity, buoyancy, temp, turbulance, etc are all closer to equilibrium, think in terms of a cloud tank where the smoke is not shooting upwards and neither is it dropping down too fast but suspended in mid air. then tweak in small increments to bring more detail with turbulance. also try making your emitter a more complex object and one that evolves, rotates, etc.

yeah, i ended up getting something that looked halfway decent by cranking up my time scale and then playing with the temperature and velocity dampening
