Stroker

A very long time ago, I tried using Morpher to animate facial expressions. I didn't like it one bit.
Here's the deal.
Start with the face in a neutral expression. Do a target for the brows. Then do a target for a smile. Dial in the brows to 100%. All is fine. Then, when I would dial in the smile, the brows would morph partly back to the neutral position. Also, the smile wouldn't be in full effect because the mouth was in a neutral in the brow target.
That's how I remember it and that's why I've been staying away form Morpher.
There is a thread going on about using controllers to control morph targets. You've seen it, right? Good stuff, guys.
So I got to playing with Pencil Head's alien/imp head. Good stuff, PH. Even though Morpher was used, the targets manipulated the morphed object on the delta verts only. That is, the brows and mouth morphs didn't affect each other. Taking a closer look, I didn't see any special tricks being pulled, like Selected Verts or whatever that's called.
So I did a quick test of my own. Sure enough, I got the same independent morphing on the delta verts.
Now I'm curious.
Did Morpher used to work like I described at the beginning of this post and they changed it? (Around the time of R3.)
Or was I hallucinating? Could very well be that I'm completely off my rocker.
