Why only one animal?
Would be cool to have the deer in the background and a wolf looking at it in the extreme foreground.
To express the true fragility of the creature.:D
This is going to look cool,is this just comeing from your memory or several photo references?

Find that "edit post" button, I think you're going to loose a lot of interest in this from folks who are on dial-up connections.
It's looking pretty good though ... bigger changes between updates would be nice and fewer images of small changes.

btw, i saw your low poly warrior, it rocks!
im trying to start modeling 3d for about 1 year! but every time i open 3dsmax or maya, i look at the layout and browse the menus for about 1hour then simply click that "X" sign in the topright corner

Very interesting process approach! I love the transition of such simple lines to such a detailed patchwork! I'll see if I can use this same technique...
Cool pic, raxor!

Great masterpiece...even the choice of deer positioning.
Originally I thought you would have had it drinking from the lake, least that was my vision.
But this pose rules, its like the deer is looking at the beauty of nature, just as the viewer.

P.S.It was interesting as well the way you put in details nearly right away, rather than blocking -everything- in then putting details in.
