Title: Everything is purple
Name: Verónica Atanacio
Country: Argentina
Software: Photoshop

This image was painted for the Collectible Card Game "Oz" by Orion's Bell. As the title says everything should be painted in purples shades, wich was a really interesting challenge. As you can see she's very fed up with this color, even when she has all those fancy thing around her.
The image was painted with Phothoshop CS3
Thanks for looking!

Ohh, very nice. Love the textures and details throughout the piece. Nice work with the designs on the wallpaper in teh background. I'm sure that was hard to do. I love minute details. Her arms are a little uniformly rendered, making them too smooth and cylindrical. Her bodice doesn't look just right (shape wise, rather than how it was rendered). Her hair is great. The ruffles of the dress, although well done, don't look entirely convincing. You probably had to make up the folds of the dress. A reference of folds of the skirt of the dress would've help. It isn't noticeable at first, but as I study the piece I come across it.

This one's really nit-picking right here, the little table in back on the left is off perspective when compared to the larger table. Don't worry, it isn't hurting the piece visually, it's just a technical detail that a few who study it may notice. I like how you added the portrait/painting in the background, an extra effort that's a nice touch to liven up the room. The room itself obviously took a lot of effort. Applauds given to you for the amount of detail and difficulty impuded with this painting. Especially with how you choose to painting it in varying shades of purple.

Great, imaginative color pallette seen here. I can see how some of the purples veer closely to certain reds, blues, and such (for better color depth), but stay within the purple family. Hats off to you for that. Apart from some technical details, this a beautiful piece with good compositional balance, focus, and a high attention to detail and theme. I found lots to talk about for this one (the more I like, the more I write). Great effort. Love it.

I think this picture could use a lot more contrast, but I like the details and the womans face.

Beautiful dreamy quality. Just like linainverse noticed, it must have taken you lots of time to get all those details, which again, adds to richness of the picture. :) congrats.

Am I correct in remembering that this was done as an image for a card? So the medium tones are actually very useful for the printer, giving them the option to add more contrast if needed, or leave it alone so it's "readable" at a small size. I like this piece very much and aside from tugging the back table up to match the other's perspective, I would consider this a finished and accomplished piece!

nice feeling.
With a little more contrast it could be one of my bests.
