View Full Version : Le Building Rebuild

I'm in the process of rebuilding the model from the Le building Short. (http://forums.cgsociety.org/www.le-building.com/movie.htm)and using finaltoon to mimic the cell shading.
My question is what the best way to connect each element? Is it one entire connected mesh or attached individual elements. Also is the back of the head fully molded out or simply left open, as pictured in my mesh, then connected to the hat. There is still alot of work to be done on the mesh, in terms of topology, see keep that in mind.

By that I'm guessing you want to know if it's necessary to have the geometry underneath the hat? If that's the question, the answer is no. You only need to model what is going to be seen, the rest just takes up time and poly count.

Its funny when you realize the answer is so simple. Honestly, 10 minutes after I posted I answered my own question, in terms of geometry in hidden areas.
