Hello, I'm kinda new to the forums, but not to Maxforums, or the 3d community. This is my first project that i have finished. It is 200,999 Polys, was modeled in 3d Studio Max 5.1 using poly modeling and was rendering in Brazil and took 14 mins and about 30 secs. for each on my P4 2.5Ghz pc with 1.5GB of DDR Ram.
I would like to stop and thank Error404 aka Daniel for all of the support and help he has provided, he's kinda in a way been my mentor or sensai if u will. Almost every render for this car, has been shared with him and had comments made on by him, and I am very greatful for it. Thank you my friend.
And here is a closeup of the rims/tires...

Spiffy image there! I really like the glossy look with the dark shadows. The level of detail you have achieved is what I'm striving for as my first step to becoming a good modeler. If I had to really be picky on crits I would point out the shadow/s on the inner fog light chamber look a bit rough. I'm thinking maybe not enough polys or a spiral shadow patern repeating inside the ring?
Great work though, really like the image!

Thank you my friend, yes, ive tried messing around with the settings and im probably just going to use the ohh so great photoshop to touch it up, aswell as inside the tip of the muffler, so it looks kinda grimey.

the muffler looks funky
great model...I like the thing on the roof...I never saw an impreza with that before.
Only thing is that your close-up of the rims/tires is just as big as the rims/tires are in the pic above
But that has nothing to do with your cool model:thumbsup:
nice model, but that isnt a closeup as much as it is a cropping

yeah, it was just to show the different material that i used than the ones in the first 2 renders, and the hood scoop is usually only on rally models, but i added a rally hood too, to maybe make it seem like it had a rally inspired bodykit.

Really love the model, but the images are alittle dark for me. Great highlights though.
Inly one of two things I would change, the tires look like they are painted, which isn't the case with the Subaru's as they come out, usually they have anodised <sp?!> wheels. Kind of like a gold aluminum. And the only other thing I can think of is that the front lights should be alittle more reflective (well, the mirrored parts aleast).
But in all, a very cool image. I had the please of taking a Subaru WRX for a spin alittle while back. Fantastic car. They've made a rally car for the road. Absolutely amazing!

Yes i agree with the rims, im working on a new material as we speak, or chat, i would love to have this car tho lol.

SUBARU!! My favorite Car.
However, there is a bit of annoying for me, which is dark color.
Especially, Wheel's yellow color...-_-;
But, good modeling...

thats sweet, i love subaru, The WRC paint scheme rocks,
and i sort of agree with Becool_min about the yellow wheels with the red,
yellow wheels only really go with black or blue paint schemes.
Other than my picky nature tho, well done its ace :)

I will be rendering out the whole thing over again but with the traditional impreza blue, and the red next to each other, one facing one way and the other facing the oppiste, so that will be up in a few days my friends.

Hey I forgot to add this to the ealier reply... Anyone who has a comment about the rims, could u plz post a picture of what the color should look like? Because i'm having a difficult time trying to determine what is wrong with it and maybe if I saw a pcture of what the color should look like maybe I could visualize it better and make changes accordingly.
