I just wantto clear image control's bitmap without showing an output error.

What about putting your image into it's own child layout and making that invisible? I haven't tried this, but I guess it would work.

No, you wouldn't have to, because you wouldn't need to pass a null string to the image directory flag. You could just leave it as whatever it was, but the whole layout that the image sits in would disappear.
