Hey guys, this is my 2d entry for the 4th installment of DW.
great stuff so far everywhere, a little intense!

I'll be giving the demon abomination a shot.

Here is some work from the past few days now.

the idea of having a beautiful woman for the upper half and just deformed and sick for her lower half started to evolve -

I duplicated her to revise some things and having 2 of them caught my eye. So I played more with it and came up with this -

The whole idea behind the Garyan now is that the 2 ladies in the front are known as the 'Maidens' of this creature, and the main rider up top is known as the 'Empress'. The souls that the Garyan has devoured throughout time are seen in agony below the Empress, using them as her throne.


Here I played a bit more with it. I added eyes to the stomachs of the Maidens, chains are now used instead of the Maidens hair as reigns, and trying to decide to whether or not use another beautiful female for the Empress or use a fat uglier male as the rider. Oh, and magic/wings too to see what happens :)

I have decided to go the slug route for her main body as originally planned with the single maiden.

For the empress head now, I have gone the large horns, no eyes way. perhaps a more withered female up top, not as beautiful as the maidens.

dude, these concepts are sick! (in a good way..) sad you got rid of the wings, i would like to see that concept developed even further

I agree the Slug is awesome. Well done mate. It is disturbingly portrayed for an empress..awesome. I would like to see this in the end.:thumbsup:

Thanks guys. appreciate it.
I'm still thinking about the wings, and how to incorporate them. The wings would in fact add more to it... even if she couldn't use them to fly. plus, who doesn't like a good wingspan :)

Here is an update I did last night. Just playing with color and what not. A quick paint over (about half an hour) just to see.

Lethal opening made me lol. but I like the first one on the head concepts. It has a better flow to it. as for the figure part, the "boobies" on the main girl look kind of off. the anatomy doesn't seem right. You should make them more like the "pet" girl's bits.

First sketch in post #6 is very striking. I can imagine a great character with that face.

another update. lots of wip here -
- changed the look of the Empress (rider) : no arms, different pose, opening in her stomach where the chains now come out of..

gotta fix a lot of things still!

lots more work to do. gotta get a move on!

Great idea. I really like the concepts. But I prefer the Empress with arms, is more aggressive.

another update.
very happy about the extended time, and with that, I re-did her arms because I agree. she needs arms.

playing with color and chains and what not.
going to nail what the maiden arms will look like this weekend.

final push for the contest.

working on her legs, and conjoined the 2 Maiden bodies together. figured with 4 legs in the front, 2 really close together in the middle may cause a lot of tripping and stumbling.
