I'm having trouble creating a reasonable TV interference effect. I need this as an animation of around 10 frames to act as a transition between two animations??? Can anyone help me out?

Actually jbw, there are a LOT of ways this effect can "look". Can you provide a few details as to how exactly you want ours to look?

Can you explain your project in a bit more detail?

A TV itself is not hard to do. But the environment it's used in might possibly make things a bit more confusing.

If you're looking what I think you are then use the Filter/Noise/Add Noise... on a white or grey background image. You'll notice that if you use the same filter again the noise results will be different always. Just create a series of them (10 for your needs) and then use as an image sequence. I used that technique a few years ago for one of my animations and the result was pretty convincing.
Here's a quick test of what it looks like.

I can't really justify buying a plugin just for this one transition. Cheers though wolfzbane, got it sorted!

Jbw...
You aren't talking about scan lines are you??
If that's the case then that's super easy to do...
If that's what you're looking for I can post a mini-tut for ya.
