View Full Version : Verts showing up red in mirror mode

Hey all,

I have a problem with Max 2009 that I need some help with. I am rigging a character with biped and working on his skin weights now. I weighted one side correctly, but when I go to mirror mode under the skin modifier, some verts show up red and will not allow mirroring. Theese can be individually wieghted just fine, but do not allow mirroring.

Anyone know what's going on?

The vertices showing and red are not going to be mirrored because they don't ''fit'' in the mirror threashold. you can either increase the threashold ( don't go to far ... ) or check to be sure your vertices are 100% symetrical.

To add to what Eric has said, if the threshold gets to a value of 1.0 that is already considered high.
