very good but your material seems to have too much reflection! Make it a little less! ;)

(sorry for my english)

Hi, thanks for the comment Kubik.

Small update. Lowered reflectivity of main material, also changed to the final colour scheme, but still need to tweak this a bit.

Smoothed most of the bumps that were present and made the rear wings ready for the rear light units. Wheel arches have also been tweaked. Window glass is still not transparent to save on render times.

More to come later today.

Nice work so far! Looks like you have a bit of a wobble in the front quater panel surface. i agree with the other folks about the reflection on your temporary map.. You probably don't need it *quite* that strong :)

I guess this is meant to be a 'tuned' version of civic. Well I couldn't tell it's a civic by looking at its frontend :p

I think it's good overall except for some 'wobbly' areas such as headlights (already mentioned eh?) and the area around side windows.

Good luck and keep it coming! :scream:

Thanks for the pointers mwkmn. I've been having a lot of trouble with the front end of the car, especially around the headlights, but I think I'm getting a bit closer.

Is this an improvement? I can't seem to get a good camera setting, so the perspective isn't too warped, any tips?

Thanks,

Sonix.

Ahh, now it's a civic ;)
So, I guess you'll need to model the inside of the headlights now. Oh, and don't forget the square around 'H' emblem ;)

Keep it coming! :scream:

Woot, result. :buttrock: I lifted the camera a tad, think it shows the front is rounder, tweaked here and there. Windows are still not sorted yet.

Will model inside of lights next and of course, the chrome square. Thanks again mwkmn.

The trunk and hood both open, and shall be able to open so when I model the engine and the inside of the trunk, you will be able to see inside. The rear of the car is not fully modeled yet either.

The doors open too. :buttrock:

I also reduced the level of reflectivity in the later renders, but if you think it's still too shiny then I'll tweak it again.
I will probably do the final renders in Max5 using the better shaders, as this is all Blender so far.

Small update. Re-made the wheels to match my actual Civic wheels.

--->http://reblended.com/www/sonix/Assets/Images/Wheels1.jpg<--- Link. (http://reblended.com/www/sonix/Assets/Images/Wheels1.jpg) More updates tomorrow.

Attention 'mwkmn' Regarding the chrome square around the Honda badge at the front. The 2000 spec has just the 'H' no chrome square.

Thanks for the comments. I shall be modeling the lights soon, at the moment they are just half spheres.
On the topic of too much reflectivity in my paint material, these are a couple of photos of my real life Civic. Please note how reflective it is and please tell me if my material needs to be changed. I shall be getting around to a Max5 render at some point, for comparison.

Well, it's kind of hard to judge whether the reflection is too strong or not. For me it looks alright.
One thing for sure is that the colour of carpaint is too light. (If you're trying to make it look like your own car)
As for the model itself, I thought you were modeling the car with bodykit where the half of taillights are covered with paint, but now I guess you weren't. The inner part of the talillights (starting from the trunk seem) need to be longer.
Anyways, good to see you working on this diligently. Unlike me who hasn't been working on his project for quite awhile despite of having soooo much time. :p
Good luck!
