very nice looking matte painting, nice feel and mood, I think you have too much blue saturation on the far mountains, I agree with the character in the FG , it should have a Rim light to help him stand out, also I think the structure could use some rim light as well, just as the rocks you have in your lower right corner that would help a lot

Hi jamesvfx, :)

Here's an update! :) I've added Rim light to the FG character & added a very little amount of Rim light to the structure also! Also, I've added a very little amount of violet color to the BG mountains (specially on the right hand side)! I hope that, you'll like it! :)

I'm just very much eager to receive your comments & critiques, to help in the improvement of this matte! :bounce:

Kaustav - When referring to rim light it gerally means lighting on the character from a light source behind him rather than a glow behind him and still no light on the character itself. Take a look at this concept painting by Greg Broadmore (which incidently has some of the best brush strokes ever applied to a digital canvas IMO):

Notice how Kong has a strong light behind him and it is creating a very strong rim light around the side of the characters face. It really helps the feeling that the character is being lit by the same light source as the rest of the image.

So rather than creating a halo of light around the character, take that out and make the light source create a strong highlight on the edges of the caracter.

Hi Everyone, :)

I was thinking of posting the matte without the FG character, to show you all the environment! :) Kindly render your very precious critiques, & also let me know, does this matte looks better without the character?

Hi Everyone, :)

Here's an update! Extension of the structure. I've also tried to add a warrior feel to the FG character, which is totally painted using a mouse!

I hope all of you will like it! Comments & critiques, as always, are heartily welcome!
