View Full Version : Character Demo Reel (Intern)
JCherry 04-03-2009, 06:02 AM Hello everyone,
I just wanted to showcase my reel I've put together so far and see what kind of feed back I could get. Currently I'm a student and about to look for an internship but I need to know if its good enough. Any help would be appreciated and don't be shy.
Thank you in advance,
Josh

It made me crash firefox here, you'd better off embedding a vimeo video i think.

Hey i got it to play just fine,
so far there are a couple of things that i noticed right away. i would say your weakest work in this reel is where Moom hits Tiny with the steel ball. scrubbing through the .mov you can see that Tiny reacts to the ball hitting his head to early, the ball is still about a foot above him. he then turns around and it looks very mechanical. his feet slide instead of actually moving underneath the body.
i would like to see your attempt at the 11 second club entry finished a little more, youve got a good start with Moom keep it up! your strongest pieces are your running sequence with Package Man is awesome, and your heavy object exercise with Tiny is pretty convincing as well. in my opinion i would drop the wierd scene with the white character on the beach making the throat slitting gesture. that to me doesnt display much. but the rest is okay.
i would suggest working on some more personal projects with lipsync to spice your reel up a little bit, because its evident that most of these are school exercises, not necessarily bad, but your reel is a little bland when it comes to variety.
keep it up man!
