I have had this image in the works for about a year now. It got no farther than a few cheap concepts and a lot of thought for the longest time. But now, I am going for it. From where I am posting this I do not have any of those concepts near by, so I will post those later. But here is the start to the Background plate for my painting. I am NOT going to rush this along, I am taking it slow, trying to get everything right. So I will be pleased with any and all C&C.
Like I said, this is the BG plate, there will be grass, flowers a rock or two, a tree and a beautiful lady all in the foreground. I drew the girl a long time ago, but she is also not with me right now. So I cannot post her either. I am very exited to be finally onto this painting that I have had in my head or almost a year now. lol. So please, help a guy out and give me some C&C.

Thanks
Pinky out.

it's a good start... but my main problem with it at this point is i don't like how symetrical it is... with the sun and the mountain being dead center... and then the same size moutains on each side... i would try to vary it a bit... move the sun and the center mountain to the right or left... just make it less symetrical.

Darn man, you're right, thanks. If I don't do something about that now, then it will absolutely bug me to death. LOL, I am going to fix that right now.

Thanks again.

Ok, here is a nice update, I really feel I fixed the whole symetrical problem. And it turned out a little nicer, also I added a water fall. :)

yes that's much better... i still think the sun should be off center as well though... but that's me... i think the waterfall adds a nice touch.

Not very much has changed, I am almost at a stand still with the BG, unless any more Critiques?

Ps. I REALLY don't want to move the Sun from center of image, that would be WAY to much work!!! lol. And would quite possibly ruin my picture. But I will definetly keep that in mind for later Images.

Alright, I have not worked on this for a week or two because I was very very bussy. But here is an update.

Ps. It is amazing how every time you get happy with your work, the next day, you hate it to no end. lol

wow that was fast to create out the grass.

Well, as you can see, I am not the greatest painter, and the grass is far from top notch, but it did surprise me as to the speed at which I painted the ground. But there is far more work to be done still. :)

I know, I know that I am posting lots and lots of updates, so I will try and cut back after this one. This one would be nice and ready for C&C. So please start at it. I can use all the help I can get. There just arn't very many Refrance images for something like this. I have looked.

i like how your proceeding, but keep in mind that fog never gets that colored, not even if the sun is shining that brownish/orangeish...try fading it out a little bit and overpaint with a cooler hue.
also look at some dusk/dawn pictures and you will see that the sun doesn't color all the sky, the color fades whilst goin' upward and changes color.
that "dirt" looks odd...add detail or put grass there. atm it looks like a cow :D
add some shading to the trees on the left hill, and make the right ones look more like the ones on the hill further away in the background.
your clouds look lovely, i like them and your tree also adds to the atmosphere.

keep on.

Ok, apart from some little things, like a few flowers or so, I think my enviroment is just about done. I am nearly ready to start on the leading lady. :)

Oh, and OBT, I will work on those suggestions right away. Thanks :)

Alright, this could very well be my final. If no objections, I will post it on Finished Work page. And even if there are objections, I might just do it anyway. lol. No but really, I am thinking this could be quite near the finished thing. C&C are all needed. :)

The only thing I can think of, is that you need something in that grass she's looking at. A footstep, as example.

Right now, it seems to me she's looking at the grass like it hurt her loved ones ;)

I don't really want to put an absolute as to what she is doing. One of my purposes behind this picture was to leave it up to the admirer just what it is she is doing/looking at. Does she really look mad? I hope to God that is not what everyone will think, because mad/intent/vengeful are none of the expressions I wanted her to have.

Ofcourse, if you want that, go ahead. You being the artist, it's your choise. I just gave my humble opinion. And IMHO you should give a hint :p
